VG BILDKUNST

illustrator and visual artist based in Marseille/Hamburg

Caroline Reißner is an artist based in Marseille and Hamburg. She was born in the land of the „Blue Rider Artists“ and grew up surrounded by the enchanting imagery of lakes and mountains. Her artistic passion for the diverse nature of our world, which she enthusiastically captures on paper, was awakened at an early age. Her curiosity regularly takes her out of the urban environment – whether it’s on foot in a sleeping bag in the Alps or travelling by bus to remote beaches by the sea. After successfully completing her degree in communication design in Munich, she continued her studies in illustration in the Master’s programme at HAW Hamburg, where she also spent a semester abroad at Griffith University in Brisbane in 2019 and in Paris in 2022.
